South Ayrshire Junior Ice Hockey Club (SAJIHC) was set up in 1997. The club operates from Ayr Ice Rink at Limekiln road. We currently have three teams Chiefs (Under Ten's), Sparks (under Twelve's) and Flames (under Fourteens). We recruited many new members last season especially for Under Tens which bodes well for the future of the club. Although we lost some ice time last season the club is still growing in strength.
The club welcomes back Scott Blackwell as a club coach. He will have a triple roll this year as, coach for the Under Twelve’s, assisting Brian and Jim with the Under Tens and finally helping to bring on our budding Net Minders.
Ice hockey is known as the fastest team sport. It is a great sport to raise youngster’s confidence and fitness. It teaches teamwork and self discipline but is also great fun. SAJIHC aims to encourage and develop the player’s abilities at a pace that fits the individual child.
If you or your children want more information please either contact us using one of the methods on the contact us page or come along to one of our training sessions. We have a small amount of equipment we can loan to help defray the cost to newcomers.
